Wed, 16:40: Jonas came home really agitated about his teacher "nagging" him and I had to help him process that and get back to feeling less aggro.
Wed, 16:41: But when he was telling me about all the stuff he said she was getting on him about, I just wanted to high five that teacher.

Thu, 07:54: All at once anxious and confident about huge dental procedure Iliana is having today. She's going under general anesthesia and it sucks.
Thu, 07:55: Jonas had a similar procedure when he was younger than Iliana is now and I feel about infinity times better about this experience.

Thu, 07:57: Both my kids are super prone to decay, thanks to terrible teeth they got from my side of the family. I know it's not my *fault*, but...
Thu, 08:03: The upshot is that I feel incredibly good about the office we were referred to for her procedure. Her regular dentist doesn't do anesthesia.
Thu, 08:03: At first we were referred to UW Center for Pediatric Dentistry, which was okay but only just. And they only had openings in late July.
Thu, 08:04: The worst of her poor teeth couldn't wait that long so we asked for a different referral and got sent to a dentist we fell in love with.
Thu, 08:06: We talked at length with the dentist, assistant, anesthesiologist who just so happened to be there setting up for today's appointments.
Thu, 08:07: (Anesthesiologist travels to many different drs and is only in this office one day a month. She comes in the day before to get prepped.)
Thu, 08:09: We asked for the new referral on Tuesday, got a consult appt with this other dentist for yesterday, doing treatment today. It feels "good."
Thu, 08:09: Or, as "good" as having a child go in for this kind of procedure can feel. Which means, not good, but good. You know what I mean.
Thu, 08:15: The worst part is trying to keep her from eating / drinking anything for the next 2 hrs, 45 mins. She's not a big morning eater, tho.
