word lists and freakouts

celeste_noelaniI am really trying to figure out what I'm doing here. Wait, that's not exactly true. I'm trying to figure out how I'm getting to where I'm going. I've been trying to stick to a MWF posting routine at runningnekkid.com and I had jack crap I finished last night. I mean, I have many things that I'm working on, but nothing that I felt like I wanted to let fly just yet. Instead, I pulled out an old word list that Ian sent me from when he was working in Dallas a few years ago.
It's always crazymaking to post real writing there. Real writing, as opposed to more general "this is what I'm doing now" bloggy updates. Fiction is by far the most difficult. Anyway, I guess all of this was to say that I wrote a piece of prompted fiction and posted it to the site and practicing sharing your writing is just as much writing practice as actual writing. Maybe I'll get accustomed to it. Maybe not. But for right now, I am all at once trying to put myself out there, and freaking out every time I do.
