cross posting this from
breastfeeding because, well, whatever.

My daughter turned one last week Tuesday so of course yesterday my husband asked "if it's 'under one just for fun', what do we do now?" I reassured him that since she already loves solids and is a healthy eater, we do nothing that we aren't already doing. Well, maybe we can talk about night weaning so that she's not nursing All. Night. Long., but it's a process, not flipping a switch. I have to remind him of the process vs. switch thing quite a lot, because as soon as I bring something up, he pretty much wants a flow chart and a project schedule so we can track progress and measure success. This is what happens when you have a baby with an engineer.
In any case, things are trucking right along. Iliana is marvelous and growing and of course a flippin' genius in her parents' humble and completely objective opinions. We are looking for other ways to soothe her because I am seriously being killed by being her binky since she decided at six months that pa-tooey, those things are for suckas! The upshot, however, is that I do not at all have to worry about the low supply issues that plagued me with my son. So there is that. Also, I keep telling myself that she'll eventually sleep through the night. Or move out. You know, whatever comes first.
But hooray! I am so excited. Thank you all for being the most badass resource for breastfeeding support and information. My daughter thanks you, as well. :D
