I Guess I Kinda Had It Coming

Since pretty much forever, I've had this recurring pain issue with my right hip. It eventually seemed like it was sciatic nerve pain and blah blah blah physical therapy that I never went to, blah blah blah I'll just have a miserable periodic limp for the rest of my life. Sounds reasonable, right?

Well a week or so ago, stuff just seemed to feel worse than ever and I noticed a lump on the back of my leg. I kept running my fingers over the lump every night before Ian and I went to bed, narrating all the ways the lump hurt, and how pressing on it shot awful electric jolts down to the heel of my foot and up to the middle of my back. For extra fun, I began Dr. Googling "sciatic nerve lump" and eventually got to some images of a surgery done to remove a giant egg shaped tumor from behind somebody's sciatic nerve. I also found lots of stuff referencing Neurofibromatosis, the disease that paralyzed and eventually killed my dad.

I knew I needed to go to the doctor to have it checked out but I am like highly allergic to telephone calls in general and making doctor's appointments in particular. I put it off and put it off until Ian finally got fed up and made an appointment for me like the baby I am. And then he got his revenge.
